Rowing

With little motor traffic, your crew will quickly warm up on this quiet river basin. And with the amazing support of Columbia Rowing Club, you'll feel the heat of competitive training. Some of the teams who have spend spring training in Columbia include Carnegie Mellon University, Georgetown University, Bryn Mawr College, Old Dominion, Willam & May, Tabor Academy, University of Michigan, University of Vermont and University of Rhode Island - just to name a few.
Fishing
Grab your fishing pole and your buddies and score big fishing in our rivers or on Lake Marry. From affordable restaurants and hotels to accessible amenities, there's no shortage of opportunity in Columbia SC. Dreher Island State Park is located on Lake Murray and features a total of six boat ramps including a two lane tournament launch ramp. A courtesy dock and a gas dock are available for each boat launching and refueling. And to top it all off, paved parking is available for approximately 138 vehicles and trailers.
